Visibility and analytics provide insight into what is happening in terms of logging in.
Anomaly reports
Reports on things that are different than usual (extremely many login attempts and the like). Organisations use these to monitor user behaviour.
User behaviour analytics (UBA)
This goes a step further. UBA technologies analyse log files to identify traffic patterns caused by user behaviour, both normal and malicious. UBA systems are primarily intended to provide cybersecurity teams with actionable insights. Although UBA systems do not take action based on their findings, they can be configured to apply step-up authentication, for example.
Endpoint Protection Platform
An Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) is a solution deployed to better secure user devices, prevent malware and malicious attacks, and respond quickly when devices exhibit “strange” behaviour. Modern EPP systems use an architecture that does the management, analysis and detection in the cloud.
